Women and adolescent girl‘s health and hygiene have been one of the key concerns over the years across the world. The awareness on menstrual hygiene and usage of sanitary napkins are virtually absent in rural areas. The adolescent girls get information and education on menstruation from their mother and grandmother, who themselves had practiced the unhygienic behaviors for years and thus do not see any harm in the practices of using old cloths during menstruation.
The project intends to build an enterprise model on a pilot basis in the working areas where groups of women would be fostered to run the business by themselves with handholding support and overall supervision by implementing partner Blind People’s Association and make them aware by distributing sanitary pads.
We are undertaking this initiative of providing biodegradable sanitary napkins to poor, specially abled girls and women based in rural and tribal areas to promote good health and menstrual hygiene management. In collaboration with the Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ), we have supported athletes in their training for the Olympics and Paralympics. Our partnership with OGQ aims to provide athletes with the necessary training, facilities, and mentorship to excel in their respective sports. By ensuring they have access to world-class resources, we contribute to their growth, helping them prepare to represent India on the global stage with pride and determination.
On National Sports Day, we celebrated the spirit of sportsmanship with 120 enthusiastic students from Sughad Primary School. The event was filled with fun, fitness activities, and learning moments, encouraging children to embrace the value of physical activity. By involving the youth in such initiatives, we aim to instill a lifelong passion for sports, healthy living, and teamwork in the younger generation. The day served as an inspiring reminder of the importance of physical fitness in building stronger communities.
